DALLAS PENGUINS GOLF TOURNAMENT

Dear Penguin Friends and Families,

As most of you know, the Dallas Junior Hockey Association is the largest and most successful youth travel hockey association in Texas.  Since 1971, our non-profit organization has been a valuable part of the Dallas community, helping teach our youth the importance of teamwork and discipline.

Despite the every-increasing cost of ice time, our association has continued to offer our families the most attractive value in the Metroplex.    We are requesting your support in our First Annual Golf Outing, scheduled for December 5, 2008, 11 AM (New Time) at Firewheel Golf Park in Garland.  Your help via donation, sponsorship and/or participation in this event will help ensure our goals of continuing the development the youth in our community. Donations are tax deductible and all proceeds will go directly to support our ongoing programs.

Please see the word files below and help support the Dallas Penguins.  Any amount of participation in this event is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Dallas Junior Hockey Association

Playing in the Squirt Silver Division, the Mites went 4-0 to win the Dallas Stars Fall Round-Up Tournament over the Thanksgiving weekend.  Playing against big and fast opponents from Colorado Springs, Mexico City, and Tulsa, the Penguins posted 25 goals and gave up only 8.  After getting down 0-2 in goals in the first period of the Championship game against a tough Tulsa Flames squad, the Mites dug deep and scored 5 in the second on the way to a 6-4 victory.  Dallas posted the top three scorers and the best goaltending of the tournament.

SQUIRT AA 98'S ENJOY THANKSGIVING TOURNAMENT FEAST!

PENGUINS GO UNDEFEATED TO EARN FALL ROUND UP CHAMPIONSHIP!

During a holiday weekend designed to give thanks, it was what the 98 AA Penguins didn't give that was most notable; namely goals, power play opportunities, shots on goal, odd man rushes, or loose pucks in front of their net. As a result of their defense first, disciplined style of play, the 98 AA's allowed a total of 3 goals against, including 2 shutouts, and went 4-0 to claim the 2008 Fall Roundup Championship.

The 98 AA's further established what has become their signature trademark by again being the best passing team in the tournament.  It is also evident that each player is committed to the system employed during practice, which stresses hard work and responsibility.

Congratulations to both the players and their Coaches! All of your hard work is paying off!
