The Western Regional will be filling brackets in the following divisions:

AA Divisions: Squirt, Peewee, Bantam, Midget Minor, Midget Major
A Divisions: Mite, Squirt, Peewee, Bantam, Midget Minor, Midget Major

B Divisions: Mite, Squirt, Peewee, Bantam, Midget Minor, Midget Major

Mite & Squirts: $1,195.00

Peewee, Bantam & Midget: $1,295.00

Four game guarantee with the potential of up to 6 games

Western Regional Silver Stick Tournament Information and Instructions

Now that your team has been accepted into the Western Regional Silver Stick Tournament we would like to pass on some important information and instructions regarding the tournament.

Tournament Instructions

Hotel Information:

Please view the list of participating hotels for the tournament. All hotels are within easy access to all rinks, restaurants and shopping malls. Once your team has made their hotel reservations please fill out the “Hotel Verification Form” and return it to us no later than Sept. 30, 2008. The form should be returned to Lynn Cramp at lcramp@nahl.com or fax 214-975-2250.

Team Roster:

We need all teams to fill out the “Team Roster Form” in order to post in our Silver Stick Tournament program. Your team roster will need to be sent in to us no later than Sept. 22, 2008. Please send your team roster to Lynn Cramp at lcramp@nahl.com or fax 214-975-2250.

*Please note that we will request your Official USA Hockey Roster (Form T-1) at time of check-in.

Team Photo:

We would like all teams to supply us with a team photo. Your photo should be in jpeg format and the file size should be close to 1 mb for the best resolution. Please make sure that your photo is properly labeled with Team name and age bracket (Squirt AA, A, B etc.) The photos must be received no later than Sept. 22, 2008 in order to be displayed in the tournament program. Opening Ceremonies:

The opening ceremonies will be held at American Airline Center in Dallas during the Dallas Stars game being held Friday Oct. 10, 2008. All teams will be given the opportunity to purchase tickets at a discounted price. More details on how to order your team tickets will be posted soon.

Rules & Regulations:

The rules & regulations are now posted for your viewing.

Schedule:

The official schedule should be posted approx. 2 weeks prior to the start of the tournament. The schedule will also list the date and time that the pin exchange will take place for all teams.

We are anticipating the championship games to end approx. 2 PM on Monday Oct. 13, 2008.

Trainers:

For the first time this season our tournament will be offering Licensed Athletic Trainers (LAT) at all 3 major rinks.

The trainers are being supplied by Randal Denton of Matrix Rehabilitation of Frisco.

The Heart to Play Program:

We are happy to announce that “The Heart to Play” program will be back for a 3^rd season. This is a student athlete cardiac screening in order to prevent HCM (hypertrophic cardiomyopathy) which is an abnormal thickening of the walls of the heart. The screening takes about 15 minutes and will be offered to all athletes, and siblings at a rate of $75.00 per screening. More information will follow on how to schedule your screening.
